Mid-Century Elegance Returns to Arlington: Valencia Hotel Group Opens
the Doors to “Caravan Court” June 1, 2026
1960s reimagined boutique destination features 143 guest rooms, “The Vandy”
signature restaurant, and skyline views steps from the legendary Arlington Entertainment District
ARLINGTON, Texas (May 28, 2026) – Caravan Court, the newest property from Valencia Hotel Collection, will open June 1, 2026, at 205 N. Collins St., in Arlington, Texas. Set on the historic site of the original 1961 Caravan Motor Hotel, the boutique hotel brings a modern, design-forward interpretation of the classic American motor court to one of Arlington’s most dynamic corridors. Developed in partnership with Division Hotel
Management, Caravan Court honors the site’s original spirit through purposeful architecture and interiors, seven suites among its 143 guestrooms, and indoor-outdoor spaces designed for the way people gather today. Anchored by a central courtyard, a resort-style pool, The Vandy signature restaurant, Idle Hour Social Club, Elora Sky Club, and Caravan Swim Club, the property pairs mid-century Americana with a refined contemporary point of view.
“With Caravan Court, our goal was to look beyond traditional lodging and build a true social anchor for Arlington,” said Doyle A. Graham Jr., President and CEO of Valencia Hotel Collection. “By expanding our portfolio of court-style properties within Valencia Hotel Collection, we are delivering our signature promise of Timeless Hospitality℠ — creating a design-forward destination where guests and the Arlington community can connect to the city’s rich automotive history and the world-class energy of the nearby Entertainment District.
Opening as North Texas prepares for a major summer of international sports and travel, Caravan Court is positioned to welcome visitors seeking a stay with character, history, and a strong sense of place. Located near AT&T Stadium, Globe Life Field, and
Arlington’s Entertainment District, and within easy reach of DFW International Airport, the property offers an upscale retreat for travelers visiting Arlington and the surrounding DFW Metroplex. “This landmark is a perfect example of what happens when we honor our city’s history while leaning boldly into the future,” said Arlington Mayor Jim Ross. “Caravan Court honors Arlington’s history while serving as a sophisticated cornerstone for our community and a world-class destination for visitors.”
A Modern Motor Court, Reimagined
More than a new hotel, Caravan Court stands on the same site as the original Caravan Motor Hotel, preserving a meaningful piece of Arlington’s roadside history while introducing a modern hospitality experience for today’s guest. Inspired by 1960s art, architecture, and automotive design, the property brings the nostalgia of the classic motor court into a contemporary setting shaped by original design, food, drink, music, and outdoor gathering.
“The architectural layout is a love letter to classic Americana, purposefully engineered for the modern traveler,” said Brandi Montgomery, Vice President of Brand and Design, Valencia Hotel Collection. “We designed the open-air courtyard, resort-style pool spaces, and rooftop lounges to move effortlessly from daytime relaxation to vibrant evening social scenes, creating a cohesive visual experience that feels both deeply rooted and entirely current.”
Guestrooms feature retro-inspired SMEG refrigerators and Nespresso machines alongside 50-inch smart TVs, wireless charging pads, and considered details designed for comfort and ease. Guests can also look forward to a collection of dining, drink, and gathering spaces throughout the property, including:
The Vandy: The hotel’s signature dining destination honors the legacy of visionary former Arlington Mayor Tom Vandergriff, serving elevated Americana classics in a space that captures the spirit of the mid-century era.
Elora Sky Club: A rooftop lounge offering craft cocktails, tapas-style bites, and elevated views of Arlington and the surrounding Entertainment District.
Caravan Swim Club: A seasonal, resort-style poolside experience with a bar and eatery, private cabanas, and a relaxed open-air atmosphere.
Idle Hour Social Club: A day-to-night hub offering a refined space for morning coffee and conversation before transitioning into an evening martini bar.
"Caravan Court is a celebration of Arlington's past, present, and future...," said Sam Mahrouq, Owner of Division Hotel Management. "We've captured the spirit of the 1960s through afternoons by the pool and evening cocktails overlooking the city skyline, creating a destination designed for making memories rather than just making a stop."
Caravan Court reflects Valencia Hotel Collection’s full-service approach to hotel development, bringing together brand strategy, design direction, technical services, construction coordination, and operational planning from vision to opening, and well beyond. In partnership with Division Hotel Management, Valencia helped guide the transformation of the historic Division Street site with a focus on honoring the original Caravan Motor Hotel while creating a guest experience designed to serve travelers and the Arlington community today, tomorrow, and for years to come. BOKA Powell served as lead architect and interior designer, Word + Carr designed the landscape and outdoor court experience, and EBCO General Contractor managed the physical transformation of the property. Structural engineering was led by Thornton Tomasetti, with civil engineering by RLG Consulting Engineers and MEP engineering by Blum Consulting Engineers. The result is a property that preserves a meaningful piece of Arlington’s history while demonstrating Valencia’s ability to carry a hotel from concept and construction through brand expression, operations, and long-term guest experience.
Bringing Caravan Court to life has been a deeply collaborative effort, but the real work begins in how the property is experienced every day,” said John Thomas, General
Manager of Caravan Court. “From the moment guests arrive, our team is focused on service that feels personal, spaces that feel cared for, and an atmosphere that welcomes both travelers and the Arlington community. For us, success means Caravan Court becomes a place people return to for a stay, a dinner, a drink, or simply because it feels like it belongs here.”
Caravan Court is located at 205 N. Collins St. in Arlington, Texas, near Arlington’s Entertainment District. For more information, visit caravancourthotel.com or call (682) 217-1800.
